If you have received a decision from a public authority that you wish to appeal, you can contact the Faroese Board of Appeal.

Who can appeal?
When you receive a decision from a public authority, the general rule is that you have the right to appeal the decision.
If the decision falls within the jurisdiction of the Faroese Board of Appeal, we can process your appeal.
In certain cases, others besides the recipient of the decision may also be entitled to appeal.

What can be appealed?

When can you appeal?

How to appeal?
You must submit your appeal in writing and send it to the Faroese Board of Appeal.
When submitting your appeal, you should also include the decision you are appealing and any other relevant documents.
This helps ensure the case is fully informed before a decision is made regarding your appeal.
Debt restructuring
Individuals who owe money to the National Treasury can apply for debt forgiveness or restructuring.
An application form, along with various details about the applicant’s financial situation, must be submitted to the Faroese Board of Appeal, which then processes the application.
